Cool Whip and the Frozen Marble Forest

Deep inside the snowy hills of the Marble Kingdom lived a shiny pale-blue marble called Cool Whip. Unlike the other marbles, Cool Whip loved the cold more than anything in the world. While most marbles stayed indoors during winter storms, Cool Whip would roll happily through icy valleys, leaving sparkling trails behind him.
Cool Whip wore a tiny silver scarf and a frosty crystal hat that glittered whenever the moonlight touched it. Everywhere he travelled, snowflakes seemed to dance around him.
One freezing morning, Jack Mitchell received a mysterious message delivered by a snowy owl.
“Dear Jack,” it read. “The Frozen Marble Forest is melting. Please help before the Ice Crystal disappears forever. Signed… Cool Whip.”
Jack quickly gathered Bernard the talking dog, Lenny the inventor, and Imogen the magical marble. Together they climbed aboard Lenny’s steam-powered snow buggy and headed north towards the Frozen Marble Forest.
As they travelled deeper into the icy wilderness, strange things began to happen. Huge chunks of snow slid from the hillsides, frozen rivers cracked beneath their feet, and giant icicles toppled from the trees.
“This place is warming up far too quickly,” said Imogen nervously.
Finally, they reached the centre of the forest where Cool Whip was waiting beside a glowing blue crystal buried in the ice.
“The Ice Crystal controls the winter winds,” explained Cool Whip. “Without it, the forest will melt and the Frosty Marbles will lose their home forever.”
Jack noticed something odd nearby — enormous machine tracks in the snow.
“Someone’s been here,” he whispered.
The group followed the tracks through the forest until they discovered a gigantic drilling machine operated by the mischievous marble brothers Bonka Bonka and Boobert.
“We only wanted to build the world’s biggest hot chocolate factory!” shouted Boobert. “The warm pipes accidentally melted the underground ice tunnels!”
Cool Whip gasped in horror as steam poured from giant silver pipes beneath the snow.
“If the tunnels collapse,” he warned, “the Ice Crystal will shatter!”
Lenny quickly opened his toolbox while Jack and Bernard scrambled across the slippery ice. Imogen used her glowing powers to freeze sections of the melting tunnels while Cool Whip summoned a freezing snowstorm around the machine.
Snow swirled wildly through the air.
The giant drill froze solid.
Bonka Bonka slipped backwards into a snowbank with a loud “WHOOOMP!”
Boobert sneezed so hard that hot chocolate exploded everywhere.
For hours the team worked together repairing the tunnels beneath the forest. At last, the glowing Ice Crystal became stable once again, shining brighter than ever before.
A magical icy wind swept through the forest.
Snowflakes twirled through the trees.
Frozen waterfalls sparkled like diamonds.
The Frosty Marbles cheered loudly as Cool Whip rolled proudly beside Jack.
“You saved our home,” said Cool Whip. “From now on, you will always be welcome in the Frozen Marble Forest.”
Before leaving, Cool Whip handed Jack a tiny frozen snowflake marble that glowed pale blue in the dark.
“It will guide you whenever winter danger appears,” he said with a smile.
As the team disappeared into the snowy mountains aboard the buggy, Bernard licked some frozen hot chocolate off his nose and grinned.
“I still think Boobert’s factory was a delicious idea.”
