Camowan and the Hidden Jungle Marbles

Deep within the mysterious Emerald Jungle of the Marble Kingdom lived a strange and adventurous marble named Camowan.
Camowan was unlike any other marble in the kingdom. His surface was covered in swirling jungle-green patterns mixed with muddy browns and dark leafy shadows. When he stayed perfectly still, he almost disappeared into the forest floor.
The younger marbles often whispered:
“Is Camowan a marble… or part of the jungle itself?”
Camowan liked it that way.
He was quiet, clever, and loved exploring places nobody else dared to visit.
One hot afternoon, panic spread through Marble Hollow.
Three young marbles — Peanut, Becky, and Yellow Dotties — had vanished while searching for Glow Berries near the Forbidden Jungle.
Sir Rodney immediately organised a rescue team, but none of the marbles knew the jungle paths well enough.
“We’ll get lost before sunset,” sighed Princess Kate.
Then, from the shadows beneath a giant fern leaf, a calm voice spoke.
“I know the jungle.”
Everyone turned.
Camowan slowly rolled forward from the darkness.
The marbles breathed a sigh of relief.
“If anyone can find them,” said Sir Rodney, “it’s you.”
Camowan nodded once.
“Stay close,” he warned. “The Emerald Jungle likes to play tricks.”
The rescue team entered the jungle carefully. Strange sounds echoed all around them. Colourful insects buzzed through the air. Twisting vines hung like ropes from enormous trees made of polished stone.
Soon the paths began changing.
One moment there was a clear trail.
The next moment it vanished completely.
“Didn’t we already pass this mushroom?” asked Bubble Gum nervously.
Camowan examined the ground carefully.
“The jungle is moving,” he said quietly.
Suddenly, a loud growl echoed through the trees.
GRRRRRRRR!
Several marbles screamed.
Out from the bushes leapt a giant Jungle Hopper — a huge bouncing creature with glowing yellow eyes and spring-like legs.
The rescue team rolled backwards in terror.
But Camowan stayed perfectly calm.
Slowly, he rolled toward the creature and made a strange clicking sound.
“Tok-tok-tok.”
The Jungle Hopper tilted its head.
Then, to everyone’s amazement, it calmed down completely and bounced away peacefully into the trees.
“How did you do that?” gasped Becky.
Camowan smiled faintly.
“You listen before you fear.”
After many hours, the team finally discovered the missing marbles trapped inside a maze of giant tangled roots beside the glowing Crystal Waterfall.
Peanut looked relieved.
“We couldn’t find the way out!”
Camowan studied the roots carefully. Instead of forcing through them, he noticed tiny patterns in the vines that pointed toward hidden gaps.
“This way,” he said.
One by one, the marbles escaped safely.
As night fell, the team returned triumphantly to Marble Hollow.
The entire village cheered for Camowan.
Sir Rodney raised a silver goblet high into the air.
“To Camowan,” he declared, “the marble who understands the jungle better than anyone alive.”
The marbles applauded loudly.
Camowan gave a small smile but quietly slipped away from the celebration before the music even started.
Later that evening, as moonlight covered the Emerald Jungle, some marbles claimed they saw glowing green eyes watching peacefully from the trees.
And far off in the darkness…
They heard the gentle sound of Camowan rolling silently through the jungle once more.
