Spyderman and the Tower of Tangled Threads

In the centre of the Marble Kingdom stood the enormous city of Weblington — a place filled with towering buildings, giant suspension bridges, steam-powered elevators, and hundreds of swinging rope lines stretched high above the streets.
And nobody moved through the city faster than Spyderman.
Spyderman was famous throughout the kingdom for his incredible agility and bravery. His marble shell glowed with dark blue and crimson web patterns, while mechanical thread launchers strapped to his sides allowed him to swing between towers faster than most marbles could even roll.
Children across Weblington adored him.
Criminals absolutely did not.
Every night, Spyderman protected the city from thieves, troublemakers, and occasional runaway inventions from Professor Bubbleboom’s laboratory.
Unfortunately, trouble in Weblington never stayed away for long.
One stormy evening, Jack Mitchell and Bernard the talking dog arrived in the city after hearing reports of giant webs covering entire buildings overnight.
Not ordinary spider webs.
Steel webs.
Massive metallic strands stretched across bridges, clock towers, and rooftops, trapping trams and blocking roads.
Bernard stared upward nervously.
“That is definitely not natural.”
Suddenly a shadow swung down from above.
THWIP!
Spyderman landed perfectly on a street lamp beside them.
“You came,” he said.
Jack smiled.
“We heard the city needed help.”
Spyderman looked serious.
“It’s worse than you think.”
He pointed toward the skyline.
At the very top of Weblington stood the enormous Clockspire Tower, now completely wrapped in giant metal webbing glowing with green electricity.
“The Iron Weaver has returned,” Spyderman said quietly.
“The who?” asked Bernard.
Before Spyderman could answer, the tower suddenly flashed bright green.
BOOOOM!
A pulse of energy exploded across the city.
Streetlights flickered.
Steam trams stopped moving.
And dozens of giant steel web cables shot between buildings automatically, trapping entire streets.
Panic spread through Weblington.
“The Iron Weaver is using the tower generator to control the whole city!” shouted Spyderman.
Far above them, a dark figure appeared atop Clockspire Tower.
The Iron Weaver.
A mysterious inventor marble wearing a mechanical armour suit covered in spinning web machines and glowing gears.
“Soon,” the Iron Weaver announced through giant speakers, “every building, bridge, and machine in Weblington will belong to ME!”
Bernard groaned.
“Why does every villain insist on speeches?”
Spyderman launched a web line immediately.
“Because they’re dramatic. Come on!”
The three heroes raced through the city while giant metal web strands continued spreading across rooftops and bridges. Citizens became trapped in electric steel nets as machines across the city shut down.
Spyderman swung effortlessly between buildings, cutting through web cables with razor thread blades.
Jack followed through the alleyways below.
Bernard mostly shouted warnings and tried not to get flattened by falling signs.
Finally they reached Clockspire Tower.
Unfortunately…
The entrance was sealed shut behind layers of spinning metal webbing.
“No problem,” said Spyderman confidently.
He fired three web lines at once and pulled himself vertically up the outside of the tower while lightning flashed around him.
Jack stared upward.
“He does enjoy dramatic entrances.”
High above the city, Spyderman burst into the tower control chamber where the Iron Weaver waited beside the giant generator core.
The room hummed with dangerous green energy.
“You’re too late, Spyderman,” sneered the villain. “Soon my web network will control every machine in the kingdom!”
Spyderman stood calmly.
“You built something clever.”
The Iron Weaver grinned proudly.
“I know.”
“But you forgot one thing.”
“What?”
“Webs work both ways.”
Suddenly Spyderman fired dozens of thread lines across the control chamber, tangling the Iron Weaver’s own machinery together.
The giant generator sparked violently.
CRACK-KA-BOOOOM!
Metal webs snapped loose all across the city.
But the unstable generator began overloading.
“If that explodes,” shouted Jack from the doorway, “the whole tower comes down!”
Spyderman quickly examined the spinning control gears.
“There’s only one way to stop it.”
He launched himself directly into the centre of the generator chamber, weaving giant stabilising thread lines between the spinning gears while sparks exploded around him.
The tower shook violently.
Lightning blasted through the windows.
The Iron Weaver escaped through a side hatch just before the machine collapsed completely.
Then suddenly…
The generator powered down.
Silence spread across Weblington.
Below them, the giant metal webs across the city loosened and fell harmlessly away from the buildings.
The city was saved.
That evening, thousands of marbles gathered beneath Clockspire Tower cheering for Spyderman as fireworks exploded across the skyline.
Jack smiled.
“You saved Weblington again.”
Spyderman shrugged modestly.
“It’s my city.”
Bernard glanced up nervously at the swinging web lines overhead.
“You know… normal marbles simply use roads.”
Spyderman grinned.
“Where’s the fun in that?”
Then he fired another web line and vanished high above the glowing city rooftops once more.
