The Goldy Threes and the Triple Treasure Hunt

In the western deserts of the Marble Kingdom stood a glittering golden city called Sunstone Ridge, where the buildings sparkled beneath the sunlight and treasure hunters travelled from all over the world searching for lost riches.

But no treasure hunters were more famous than the legendary trio known as Goldy Threes.

The Goldy Threes were not one marble.

They were three inseparable brothers.

Goldy One, Goldy Two, and Goldy Three.

Each marble shimmered with dazzling swirls of gold, bronze, amber, and silver, but each had a completely different personality.

Goldy One was brave but reckless.

Goldy Two was clever but constantly worried.

Goldy Three was relaxed, cheerful, and usually eating snacks during important moments.

Together they travelled the Marble Kingdom hunting ancient treasures, hidden caves, and legendary relics.

Unfortunately…

they also argued constantly.

One blazing afternoon, Jack Mitchell, Bernard the talking dog, Imogen, and Lenny arrived in Sunstone Ridge after hearing rumours about the discovery of an ancient map leading to the greatest treasure in marble history.

The Sunfire Crown.

According to legend, the crown was hidden inside the Lost Pyramid of Solara, buried deep beneath the desert sands for thousands of years.

Naturally the Goldy Threes had already decided to find it first.

“We’re professionals,” declared Goldy One proudly.

“We are absolutely not professionals,” muttered Goldy Two.

Goldy Three looked up from a giant sandwich.

“I’m mostly here for the adventure snacks.”

The treasure map revealed that the pyramid entrance only appeared during a rare triple sunset reflection that occurred once every hundred years.

“That’s tonight!” exclaimed Imogen.

Immediately the entire group set off across the dangerous Golden Dune Desert aboard giant mechanical sand skimmers invented by Lenny.

As they raced through the dunes, giant sandstorms twisted across the horizon while mysterious stone statues watched silently from half-buried ruins.

Suddenly Goldy One spotted something shining in the distance.

“Treasure!”

He immediately sped off at full speed.

“WAIT!” shouted Jack.

Too late.

Goldy One accidentally triggered an ancient trap hidden beneath the sand.

THOOOOOM!

Gigantic stone balls rolled down from the dunes while huge pillars burst from the ground.

Bernard screamed and jumped directly into Lenny’s lap.

“This desert is trying to murder us!”

After narrowly escaping the traps, the team finally reached the Lost Pyramid of Solara just as the triple sunset reflection lit the desert sky in brilliant shades of orange, red, and gold.

Slowly the hidden pyramid entrance rose from beneath the sand.

Inside, the pyramid glowed with ancient crystal torches while walls covered in golden carvings stretched endlessly into the darkness.

But the deeper they travelled, the stranger the pyramid became.

Rooms rotated unexpectedly.

Hallways moved.

And giant golden mirrors created confusing illusions everywhere.

At one point the Goldy Threes accidentally spent twenty minutes arguing with their own reflections.

Finally the group reached the Chamber of the Sunfire Crown.

The magnificent golden crown floated above a crystal pedestal glowing with fiery orange energy.

But before anyone could celebrate, the floor suddenly collapsed.

CRAAAAASH!

The entire chamber began sinking into the sand below.

“The crown is powering the pyramid!” shouted Lenny.

“If it’s removed, the whole place collapses!”

Goldy One immediately grabbed the crown anyway.

Naturally.

The pyramid began shaking violently.

Sand poured through the ceilings.

Ancient statues toppled sideways.

Goldy Two panicked.

“I specifically said this would happen!”

As the chamber crumbled, the Goldy Threes finally stopped arguing and worked together properly for the first time in years.

Goldy One used his bravery to clear a path through falling debris.

Goldy Two solved the pyramid’s ancient escape puzzle.

And Goldy Three surprisingly saved everyone by discovering a hidden tunnel behind a snack storage room.

“You see?” he said proudly. “Snacks are important.”

The team escaped seconds before the entire pyramid disappeared beneath the desert sands once again.

Outside beneath the glowing sunset, the Sunfire Crown continued shining brightly.

But instead of keeping it for themselves, the Goldy Threes chose to place the crown inside the Marble Kingdom Museum so everyone could enjoy its beauty.

The Marble Council praised them for their honesty and bravery.

“Well,” admitted Goldy One awkwardly, “we nearly destroyed an ancient pyramid.”

“Several times,” added Goldy Two.

Goldy Three smiled happily.

“But we also found excellent sandwiches.”

That evening Sunstone Ridge held a huge celebration with fireworks, music, and golden lanterns floating across the desert sky.

Before leaving, the Goldy Threes handed Jack a tiny golden compass with three spinning arrows.

“What does it do?” asked Jack.

Goldy Two smiled.

“It always points toward treasure.”

Bernard looked interested immediately.

“Now THIS is the sort of adventure equipment I like.”
